my sensory poem

I could taste the fresh cold water in my mouth.

I could feel the nice thick grass on my back.

I could hear people talking on the big tree.

I could see people playing in the park.

I could smell smelly rotten poo on the park.

What I felt inside was joy inside my body because we got  go outside and feel and touch stuff.

Diwali to Indian people is very special like Christmas to other people.

People decorate the floors with sand/rice and flour. They draw very beautiful flowers on the floors and happy Diwali day.

Mostly families go together to the temple to pray. 

People go the markets to buy some new clothes just to look good on Diwali day.

Glen taylor primary school went to the AUckland zoo . we saw heaps and heaps of animals. They were amazing .

My 6th birthday

My birthday

On my birthday we went to the Parnell Pools, it was fun. I got heaps of
presents.  I was turning 6 yrs old. After we left the pools we went to the
restaurant.

On a Sunday it was my birthday I was turning 6 yrs old. My mum
woke me up and my cousin she slept  over for my birthday.
My mum made us pancakes for breakfast. We had a very good
breakfast. After we had breakfast we went and had a shower. 
My mum was picking out our clothes to go to church. My dad
was at my aunty’s house. Next we left from our house we went to
church. We had to practice our lessons there .

Finally we left the church and we went back home to get our swimming
togs, my cousin already had her swimming togs . We left home. We went
to go pick up my other cousins. I had heaps of people at my birthday.
My whole family came to my birthday.  It was fun , me and my cousins
went on the waterslide. My mum went to go and get the cake for my
birthday . I went on the diving board , my dad caught me at the bottom
of the water . I was scared. 

Later on we got changed and went to a restaurant called Valentines.
There was a chocolate fountain . We ate heaps of good things there.
My favourite  part was when we went to the Parnell pools because my
whole family was there and it was fun. Imagine if I got $200,000 for
my birthday, I would go overseas.
